Tom Parker Dies at 33 of Glioblastoma (Brain Tumor)

Parker died of glioblastoma complications on March 30, 2022, at the age of 33. Glioblastoma is a malignant tumour affecting the brain or spine. This type of tumor grows and spreads quickly, frequently causing pressure. Headache, nausea, drowsiness, blurred vision, personality changes, and seizures are some of the symptoms.

Thomas Anthony Parker was an English singer who was best known as a member of the British boy band The Wanted. Parker and his bandmates appeared in the E! channel reality television series The Wanted Life in 2013. Parker launched a solo career after the band's hiatus in 2014, Parker has sold over 12 million records worldwide as a member of the band.

Parker was also a DJ who collaborated with Richard Rawson on the song "Fireflies," which was released in August 2014. In May 2015, he competed in the UK version of Celebrity Masterchef and was eliminated in the semi-finals. In October 2015, he released his first solo single, "Undiscovered," as well as his own website and tour dates. In February 2016, it was announced that he would take Tina Hobley's place on Channel 4's The Jump after she fell on her arm and dislocated her elbow. He eventually came in third place in the series. Parker was cast as Danny Zuko in the UK tour of the musical Grease in 2017.

In 2018, Parker married Kelsey Hardwick. Their daughter was born in 2019, and their son was born in 2020. Parker announced on October 12, 2020, that he had been diagnosed with an inoperable grade 4 glioblastoma. He had a seizure in July and was put on a waiting list for an MRI scan; he later had another seizure while on a family vacation. Parker announced on Instagram in January 2021 that his tumor had been "significantly reduced" and that he was continuing his treatment.

Parker performed a special charity concert at the Royal Albert Hall in September in support of Stand Up to Cancer. The event, titled "Inside My Head," featured Becky Hill, McFly, Liam Payne, and his first performance with his bandmates, The Wanted, since they announced their hiatus in 2014. Parker announced on Twitter on November 3rd that his brain tumor was stable: "had the results from my latest scan... and I'm delighted to say it is stable." Parker Later died of glioblastoma complications on March 30, 2022, at the age of 33.
