Megan Fox was born May 16, 1986 in Rockwood, Tennessee, United States. She is an American actress best known for her roles in action films, particularly the Transformers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies.
Fox was raised in a Pentecostal family in Tennessee throughout her early years. At the age of five, she began attending drama and dance tuition. Her parents ultimately parted, and her mother remarried and relocated to St. Petersburg, Florida, with Fox and her older sister. Fox began acting and modeling at the age of 13 and won multiple awards at the American Modeling and Talent Convention in Hilton Head, South Carolina in 1999. Her Christian high school classmates mocked her goal to be an actor, so she completed her education through correspondence classes and then relocated to Los Angeles.
Fox made her feature debut in Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's direct-to-video film Holiday in the Sun (2001). In 2002–03 she appeared as Ione Starr on the TV show Ocean Ave. Fox played Sydney Shanowski on the television series Hope & Faith from 2004 to 2006. Her breakout role came in Michael Bay's blockbuster picture Transformers (2007) and its first sequel, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, as high-school heroine Mikaela Banes (2009). She was the voice of Banes in the computer games Transformers: The Game (2007) and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009), as well as Superman's lover Lois Lane in the TV movie Robot Chicken: DC Comics Special (2012).
Fox, eager to branch out from comic books and video games, starred as a man-eating zombie in Jennifer's Body (2009) and a prostitute with a golden heart in Jonah Hex (2010). In the live-action big-screen reboot Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, she played the brave and ambitious broadcast journalist April O'Neil, and she returned the role two years later in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows. Fox had a recurring role as Reagan (the latest "new girl"), a pharmaceutical sales agent, on the TV series New Girl from 2016 to 2017. She went on to anchor Megan Fox's Legends of the Lost (2018), a television miniseries that examined popular ancient places.
Zeroville, a mystery dramedy directed by and starring James Franco, was one of Fox's 2019 film credits. She is seen in the family film Think Like a Dog and the action thriller Rogue in 2020. Fox starred as a lady trying to avoid two attackers after being bound to her deceased husband in the film Till Death (2021). Movies she is stared in 2022 are; Big Gold Brick, The Expendable 4, Naya Legend of the Golden Dolphins and Tuarus.
After meeting on the set of Hope & Faith in 2004, Fox began dating actor Brian Austin Green, who was 30 at the time. According to Fox, Green was generally reluctant to enter a relationship with her based on the age gap. In November of 2006, they got engaged. They ended their engagement in February 2009, but were reported to have gotten engaged again on June 1, 2010. Fox revealed that she and Green had been engaged continually since 2006.
On June 24, 2010, Fox and Green married in a private ceremony at the Four Seasons Resort on Maui. On August 21, 2015, Fox filed for divorce, only days after she and Green announced their separation. They were back together in early 2016 and expecting their third kid. In Los Angeles, California, on April 25, 2019, Fox filed a motion to dismiss the divorce. Noah Shannon Green (born 2012), Bodhi Ransom Green (born 2014), and Journey River Green (born 2016)are their three boys . Fox was also a stepmother to Green's son Kassius (born 2002) from a former relationship. After nearly ten years of marriage, Green and Fox announced their separation in May 2020, and Fox filed for divorce from Green for the second time in November 2020. On October 15, 2021, the divorce was finalized.
She and artist Machine Gun Kelly made their romance public in June 2020, a few weeks after the release of Machine Gun Kelly's single "Bloody Valentine," which featured Fox in the music video. Fox announced the couple's engagement on January 12, 2022.
