Nkechi Blessing; Biography, Acheivements, Trends and more

Nkechi Blessing (born 14 February 1989 in Surulere, Lagos State) is a Nigerian actor, film producer, film director, and screenwriter based in America. In 2015, she produced her first film, Omoege Lekki, in which she co-starred with Yinka Quadri. Omoege Lekki won the MAYA Awards in 2016 and was nominated for Revelation of the Year at the Best of Nollywood Awards. She is also the Director and Chief Executive Officer of Nkechi Films Production and the NBS Foundation.

Nkechi Blessing Sunday is from Abia, a state in Nigeria's South East region. She attended Olu Abiodun Nursery and Primary School in Lagos for her primary education and Barachel Model College in Lagos for her secondary education. She earned a six-month diploma in theatre arts from Lagos State University and a bachelor's degree in international relations from Houdegbe North American University.

After graduating from Lagos State University in 2008, her friend "Kemi Korede" discovered Nkechi's passion for acting and cast her in her film Omo Bewaji which gave her a minor break in her career, leading to a meeting with Emeka Duru, who offered her a supporting role in Emem Isong's 2009 film Through The Fire & Entanglement.

She rose to prominence in 2012 with a lead role on Kafila Omo Ibadan, following a meeting with producer Temitope Bali in South Africa, who offered her the part. On February 1, 2017, she was introduced as one of the Nigeria Carnival USA's ambassadors at the second edition of the yearly Nigeria music, cultural, and comedy event in the United States of America. In 2018, she starred as "Dora" in the ghost film The Ghost and the Tout, for which she received the 2018 City People Movie Award for Most Promising Actress of the Year. Nkechi Blessing and Seun Sean Jimoh co-hosted the 2020 edition of the African Entertainment Awards USA in 2020.

Nkechi Blessing confirms her marriage to Ekiti politician Falegan Opeyemi David on June 10, 2021, after sharing photos from their wedding on his birthday via her Instagram Story. On September 23, 2021, she lost her mother, "Gloria Obasi Sunday," as she was preparing to launch her premium films in Lagos's largest theater.

Nkechi Blessing's main source of income is said to be entertainment-related businesses, which has resulted in an estimated net worth of $250,000. She is a mother to just one, a male.
