Ever wondered if any food is taken to space? Or even wondered what was first eaten outside space? Well a peach was the first fruit to be eaten on the moon.
After landing at the Sea of Tranquility, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin ate the first lunch on the moon during the Apollo 11 mission.
Bacon squares, sugar cookie cubes, coffee, and pineapple-grapefruit drinks were also available. Beef stew, cream-of-chicken soup, date fruitcake, grape punch, and orange drink were included in the lunar module's second supper.
Supplementary beverages, dried fruit, candy bars, bread, salad spread, and turkey with gravy were among the extra foods in the lunar module. The first spoon-bowl packages were used on the Apollo 11 mission, allowing astronauts to rehydrate and warm their meal in a pouch that they could subsequently eat with a spoon.
